Student Complaint Review Process
Once a formal complaint is received by an appropriate institutional officer, the officer will work with the involved parties to understand the nature of the complaint, route it to the appropriate university employees and offices, and attempt to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
Institutional officers are required to track student complaints and provide an annual complaint log and summary report to the University Student Complaints Committee (UASCC) on or before the end of the fiscal year (June 30).
A student who is not satisfied with the attempts to resolve the complaint may be able to file their complaint to external agencies, including the Arizona Board of Regents or the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Additionally, out-of-state students living in SARA states, such as those in Arizona Online or taking courses in states other than Arizona, may appeal a complaint that has completed both the internal UArizona Formal Complaint process and the ABOR complaint process to the Arizona SARA Council.
