Description:  Educational outreach activities in Theatre Arts occur in a variety of settings that includes schools, community centers, museums, and professional and community theatres. This course examines the kinds of theatre arts outreach activities that can take place in these settings and focuses on specific methods for planning and teaching such activities. Students will be required to teach during a one (1) unit practicum.

Description:  Drama strategies (improvisation, role-play, story dramatization, games, process drama) and curriculum development applicable to schools and other settings as a rehearsal tool, to integrate drama into the curriculum and/or to explore human relationships, interactions and perspectives.

Description:  This course aims at analyzing and appreciating the foundations of Black theatre aesthetics while examining the socio-political context in which the performances are produced. It will illuminate the manner that the aesthetics of theatre is foundational within the trophe of arts and Africana Studies.
