Ophthalmology (OPH )  Department Info

OPH 696A -- Current Research in Ophthalmology and Vision Science  (1-3 units)
Description:  The goal of this elective is to allow students working with an Ophthalmology faculty to gain experience presenting research to an academic audience.
Grading:  Regular or alternative grades can be awarded for this course: A B C D E or S P C D E.
May be repeated:  for credit 6 times (maximum 7 enrollments).
Usually offered:  Fall, Spring.

OPH 815A -- Ophthalmology  (1-16 units)

OPH 815B -- Ophthalmology Skills Training  (1-16 units)

Prerequisite(s):  4th-year medical student

OPH 815C -- Ophthalmology at the Indian Health Service  (1-16 units)
Description:  Provide teaching of basic ophthalmology skills for handling red eye complaints, for the student interested in a primary care career. Provide teaching of ophthalmology skills with emphasis in caring for the Native American patient for the student interested in ophthalmology as a career.
Grading:  Medical grades are awarded for this course: S P F K.
Prerequisite(s):  Completion of third year clinical clerkships.

OPH 891A -- Ophthalmology  (1-16 units)
Description:  Specialized work on an individual basis, consisting of instruction and practice in actual service in a department, program, or discipline. Teaching formats may include seminars, in-depth studies, laboratory work and patient study.
Grading:  Medical grades are awarded for this course: S P F K.

OPH 896A -- Current Research in Ophthalmology and Vision Science  (1-16 units)
