MUSIC AND DANCEThe School of Music and Dance, a division of the College of Fine Arts, prepares students for careers as professional performers, creative artists and educators. The school is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Association of Schools of Dance; entrance and graduation requirements meet the published standards of the associations. Admissions RequirementsEntrance examinations in musicianship and performance are required. Students must audition for placement in music and dance technique courses. Admission to all Bachelor of Music programs requires a formal application process, including an audition. In general, students should have at least five years of experience before they enter a music or dance major.
