Academic Advising Support
Academic advising is a collaborative relationship between a student and an academic advisor. The intent of this collaboration is to assist the student in developing meaningful educational goals that are consistent with personal interests, values and abilities. Although many individuals on campus, including academic advisors, may assist the student in making decisions and accomplishing goals, the academic advisor is granted formal authority by an academic unit (college, school, department) to approve the student's academic program of study and assist the student in progressing toward the appropriate degree. Technology is an integral part of the learning experience. Academic Administration
Housed within the Office of the Provost, Academic Administration works to streamline processes and reduce bureaucratic barriers prioritized toward meeting the larger goals of the University of Arizona strategic plan. We are partners, collaborators, and innovators whose work promotes a student-centered approach to academic support at the university. Together, we create a culture of success while providing effective management of many core campus systems and processes.
Academic Administrtation has oversight of the Registrar, Curricular Affairs, Transfer Credit & Articulation, University Fees, and Student Fees.
Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs is composed of the Offices of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Teaching and Learning. Academic Affairs has oversight of the Higher Learning Commission reaffirmation of accreditation and program-level accreditations, academic program reviews, innovative classroom renovations, and support for faculty instruction and assessment via the Office of Instruction and Assessment and the Center for University Education Scholarship.Teaching Support
University Center for Assessment, Teaching & Technology
The University Center for Assessment, Teaching & Technology (UCATT) is a campus resource that helps instructors think creatively about teaching and learning, and turn their visions into realities by working collaboratively to create engaging and innovative learning environments. We advise on inclusive and evidence-based teaching practices, course design and multimedia services, and instructional technology integration and support for impactful learning across campus.
