(3 units) Description: In this course, participants will be invited to read, enjoy, ponder, discuss and engage in a wide range of excellent books for children. Class members will explore various authors and illustrators of children’s books and become familiar with resources available concerning children’s literature; read professional literature framing classroom discussions on how to use literature effectively and authentically in the classroom. Through these opportunities and experiences, participants will establish a foundation for sharing and using literature in the classroom.
