-- Teaching Exceptional Children in Early Childhood
(3 units) Description: This course emphasizes the development of competencies required to teach exceptional students in the areas of language, reading, writing, math, study skills, and other content area learning. Emphasis will be placed on the development and implementation of individualized educational programs, the teaching-learning process, general principles of teaching and best instructional practices, and specific instructional methods that may be used with students with diverse learning needs. Emphasis will also include the professional and management responsibilities of teachers working with exceptional children. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E.
