Advanced Standing

Initial admission to BPA does not guarantee entry to the professional program (advanced standing). The advanced standing policy restricts all enrollments in upper-division (300- and 400-level) courses taught by the departments in the BPA College.

Advanced Standing Policy  (Policy updated:  June 13, 2000)

BPA students must:

  1. have credit for a minimum of 54 units, including all stipulated lower-division requirements;
  2. have a grade-point average of not less than a 2.75 in order to make application;
  3. have an approved application on file with the BPA Undergraduate Programs Office under the Advanced Standing Policy; apply by the stated deadline date and comply with application procedures;
  4. attend the advanced standing orientation;

Transfer Course Work

All transfer course work applicable to the B.S.P.A. or B.S.P.A. degree requirements taken while enrolled in other colleges or at other universities is subject to acceptance by the BPA College for degree certification purposes.
