NEUR 800 Research (1-12) [Rpt./ 36 units] I II Opportunities will be afforded for research experience in any of the areas of neurological research conducted by the faculty. These areas include demyelinating disease, sleep disorders and clinical neurophysiology, movement disorders, stroke, and neuro-oncology.

NEUR 803 Clinical Clerkship (3-6) [Rpt./] I II A three-week required course on the neurological wards at UMC, TMC and the Tucson VAMC. Students are taught a method of integrating the patient interview and neurological examination with an analytical approach to neurological diagnosis and management. Cases are presented to members of the neurological staff and discussed in detail. Weekly teaching conferences are given by the neurology faculty.

NEUR 810A Neurology Consulting Service (4) [Rpt./] I II This four week elective is designed to provide further understanding of the basic principles of neurological diagnosis, including the evaluation of neurological signs and symptoms and laboratory procedures. Students are assigned to the consult neurological service at AHSC or the Tucson VAMC.
